Clash Royale Card Tier List - April 2025
Our tier list is based on win rates, usage rates, and performance in top ladder play and Grand Challenges. Cards are ranked from S-tier (strongest) to F-tier (weakest). This tier list is updated weekly to reflect the latest meta shifts and balance changes.
The April 2025 meta has been significantly impacted by the recent balance changes, with several cards rising to prominence while others have fallen out of favor. Let's dive into the current state of the meta!

S-Tier Cards Analysis
S-Tier cards are currently dominating the meta with high win rates and usage across all arenas. These cards provide exceptional value for their elixir cost and fit into multiple deck archetypes.

Boss Bandit S
Boss Bandit is currently the most overpowered card in Clash Royale. Her dash mechanic combined with incredible DPS makes her a threat on both offense and defense. The April 2025 balance changes increased her dash range, making her even more difficult to counter effectively.
Best Combos: Pair with Ice Spirit for quick cycling, or with Miner for devastating dual-lane pressure.
Counters: Guards, Skeletons + Ice Spirit, Cannon placed high to pull.

The Log S
The Log remains a staple in almost every deck due to its incredible versatility. For just 2 elixir, it provides knockback, damage to ground troops, and can reset charges. The abundance of Goblin Gang and Guards in the current meta makes The Log even more valuable.
Best Uses: Defending against swarm units, resetting charges, chip damage on towers.
Alternatives: Barbarian Barrel, Arrows (for air coverage).

Counter Strategies
Countering Boss Bandit
Boss Bandit's dash ability makes her tricky to counter, but well-timed placements can neutralize her effectively:
- Place Guards or Skeletons in the center to absorb her dash damage
- Deploy Cannon high and central to pull her away from towers
- Use Ice Spirit + any small unit to freeze and eliminate her
- Time Electro Spirit to reset her dash when she's mid-animation
Dealing with Cycle Decks
With 2.6 and 2.8 cycle decks dominating the meta, here's how to counter them:
- Save your big spell (Fireball/Poison) for their defensive buildings
- Use mini-tanks to absorb damage and create counterpushes
- Apply dual-lane pressure to make it harder for them to cycle effectively
- Include at least one reset card (Zap/E-Spirit) to counter Ice Spirit plays
Meta Deck Recommendations
2.8 Boss Bandit Cycle
This fast cycle deck has a 62% win rate in Grand Challenges and leverages Boss Bandit's strength in the current meta.

Strategy: Apply constant pressure with Miner + Boss Bandit combos while cycling back to your defensive cards quickly. Use Ice Spirit to support both offense and defense.
Skeleton King Goblin Gang
This midrange deck exploits the buffed Goblin Gang and Skeleton King's synergy.

Strategy: Defend with Goblin Gang and Guards, build up a Skeleton King charge, then launch a powerful push with Wall Breakers in the opposite lane. Use Tornado to activate King Tower or pull units into your Skeleton King's ability.
